Notable apps and updates: Dec. 14

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

macOS

Digiarty Software has announced the latest release of its free, macOS compatible video converter – WinX Video Converter

The new version further improves the output quality and size of the HEVC and H.264 profiles when converting HD and 4K videos. Digiarty, a global leader in multimedia solutions established in 2006, has helped solve more than 92 million video playback issues, having been focused on delivering the best 4K video solutions for customers since 2014.

iOS

Adobe has launched Creative Cloud Express, a unified task-based, web and mobile product for creating and sharing multimedia content.

It enables drag-and-drop content creation. It offers thousands of high-quality templates, 20,000 premium Adobe fonts and 175 million licensed Adobe Stock images.

Creative Cloud Express is free to start and available immediately to everyone. It’s available on the web at adobe.com/express and as a free app from the Apple App Store.

Scanner Pro introduces the Magic Eraser – an AI-powered tool that lets you remove unwanted fingers, punch holes, and coffee stains to get a flawless scan. It’s  free to all Scanner Pro users.

The Eraser is useful for scanning books, passports, or anything folded. When you hold the page down, your fingers can get into the scan making it look unprofessional. Scanner Pro automatically detects fingers on your scans lets you erase them in one tap.
