Notable apps and updates: August 25

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

macOS

Cisdem has upgraded Video Converter for Mac to version 6.1.0. It’s a multimedia tool that can burn videos to DVDs with menu, subtitle and background music. 

Version 6.1.0 brings a new user interface and advanced features such as burning DVD with chapters, burning multiple DVDs. Cisdem Video Converter for Mac requires macOS 10.10 or later.

Pricing starts at US$49.99 for a lifetime license for one Mac.A demo is available for download.

Zevrix Solutions has announced BatchOutput XLS 2.5.14, a compatibility update to the company’s output automation tool for Microsoft Excel. 

BatchOutput automates printing and exporting of multiple spreadsheets to PDF with time-saving professional PDF production options. The app also offers PDF security, image compression, variable file names and more. Version 2.5.14 adds native support for Apple’s M1 processor, which enables users to run BatchOutput XLS on Silicon Macs without hardware emulation.

BatchOutput XLS can be purchased for $19.95 the Zevrix website, as well as from authorized resellers and Mac App Store. A demo is available for download. It  requires macOS 10.9-11.x and Microsoft Excel 2011, 2016, 2019 and later.

watchOS

MOSSA, developers of group fitness programs, have launched MOSSA On Demand Fitness Tracker for the Apple Watch. The app allows MOSSA users to track exercise statistics, work toward their goals and control the workouts with the touch of a button.

MOSSA On Demand users can download the most recent MOSSA On Demand iOS App in the App Store to integrate with Apple Watch. MOSSA On Demand is available for just $9.99 per month, and new customers can sign up for a free trial at mossa.net/mossa-on-demand/.
