Notable apps and app updates for June 27, 2018

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

macOS Apps/Updates

Zevrix Solutions has released Output Factory 2.3.1, a feature update to company’s output automation plug-in for Adobe InDesign.

Output Factory automates and simplifies workflows of printers, ad agencies, publishers, and prepress houses worldwide. Version 2.3.1 lets users export InDesign books as single pages by adding an option to automatically spit the book files into their document components upon adding to the batch queue.

Output Factory can be purchased from the Zevrix website for $169.95; there’s a “lite” version for $119.95. A demo is available for download. The update is free for the users of Output Factory 2.x, and $84.97 to upgrade from Output Factory 1.x and BatchOutput. Output Factory requires macOS 10.7-10.13 and Adobe InDesign CS3-CC 2018.

Tension Software has updated TS Calc, its Mac app for solving mathematical models, to version 1.6.1.

TS calc solves the equations from a numerical point of view as-you-type. You enter the input values inside the table and the output is instantly calculated. Version 1.6.1 offers various bug fixes and algorithm improvements.

TS Calc requires macOS 10.10 or higher. It costs $14 and is available at the Tension Software website and the Mac App Store.
