Notable apps and app updates for July 26, 2016

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

tvOS Apps/Updates for the Apple

Adobe has premiered Lightroom for the fourth generation Apple TV. The free app allows you to share your photos one by one in a slideshow, with the ability to stop and zoom in to see all the detail within your photo. You can navigate through all your photos to find that exact memory you’re looking for.

All your photos are always available with your latest edits. In Lightroom for Apple TV, you can view and share all of your synced Lightroom photos including photos you’ve uploaded via Lightroom CC on your desktop, Lightroom on mobile, or Lightroom on the web.

iOS Apps/Updates

Nex Game Studios has launched Arcane Quest 3, a strategic RPG that features real-time multiplayer quests with cross-platform functionality. Arcane Quest 3 offers dice rolling, hero leveling and powerful spells, with a unique mix of strategy, action and role-play, incredible 3d graphics with an epic fantasy story line. It’s free, but does tout in-app purchases.

Mac OS X Apps/Updates

Bare Bones Software has released TextWrangler 5.5, ant update to its general purpose text editor for Mac OS X.

The upgrade offers performance improvements, refinements to fit and finish, and changes to streamline workflow in specific areas, such as Find Differences. In all, this new version includes more than 250 new features, changes to existing features, and fixes for specific reported issues.

TextWrangler 5.5 requires Mac OS X 10.9.5 or later. You can download it free of charge from the Mac App Store or from the Bare Bones Software website.
