News items you should check out: Oct. 12

Since I can’t cover everything, I’ll often direct your attention to articles from various other sources worth your time.

° From AppleInsider:Less than two weeks after apparently introducing end-to-end encryption for bookmarks in Safari, Apple has dropped the additional protection.

° From 9to5Mac: As Apple keeps expanding the availability of the iPhone 13 worldwide, the company is also heavily promoting all the new features of its brand new phones. On Instagram, Apple commissioned a few shots with the Ultra Wide lens of the new iPhone 13 lineup.

° From The MacObserver: Apple CEO Tim Cook tweeted out a message recognizing the “rich histories and cultures” of native communities on Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

° From iMore: Ted Lasso is done and dusted for another year, but expectations are already high for season three.

° From MacVoices Live!:Alexander Embiricos, Co-Founder and CEO, and Dan Wood, Chief Programmer at Remotion, introduce us to a different kind of tool to apply to remote work. Embiricos goes into the pre-pandemic origins of Remotion, the need for “ambient awareness” for remote workers, and provides a demo. Wood goes into how Remotion takes its cues from the macOS Dock, and why it is a “real” macOS app. (Part 1)
