News items you should check out: May 25

Since I can’t cover everything, I like to offer a daily roundup of must-read articles from other websites:

° From MacRumors: Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 models will support 15W wireless fast charging even when using third-party chargers that are not MagSafe certified, claims a new rumor coming out of China.

° From AppleInsider: “Marathon” was originally released on Apple Macintosh in 1994, and on Wednesday, Bungie revealed that it’s coming back to PS5 as a spiritual reboot.

° From 9to5Mac: The outcome of the long-running Irish tax battle between Apple and the European Commission will be decided by Europe’s highest court, after the EC lodged a final appeal against the ruling that the iPhone maker is not liable for underpaid tax in Ireland.

° From Macworld: On Tuesday, the industry news site Road To VR revealed that it had been invited to attend Apple’s summer event in person, and that fellow XR site UploadVR had too.

° From iFixIt: Minnesota’s new right to repair law will give the whole world repair manuals.
