Since Steve and I can’t cover everything, occasionally we’ll direct your attention to articles from various other sources worth your time.

° A report by the Journal of the American Heart Association (JAHA) says that there appears to be “clinically significant magnet interference caused by Apple’s MagSafe technology on cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIED).” MagSafe is a feature introduced with the iPhone 12 line-up.

° As noted by 9to5mac, “Ted Lasso” show runner Bill Lawrence, in an interview on the “Fake Doctors, Real Friends” podcast, says that official Ted Lasso merchandise will go on sale later this month. However, official kits for the show, such as Richmond jerseys, won’t come out until September.

° Apple has added the 27-inch Thunderbolt Display to its list of “vintage” products. A new display is reportedly in the works. We might see it announced Monday at the kickoff of the 2021 Worldwide Developer Conference.

° Irish credit unions Credit unions that offer current accounts have added Apple Pay to their services, reports the Independent.

° The MacVoices panel of David Ginsburg, Jeff Gamet, Kelly Guimont, Mike Schmitz, Jay Miller, Andrew Orr, Jim Rea and host chuck Joiner continue to dig deep into what they want and expect from the M1 iPad Pro in the latest episode. ° AppleInsider says that Apple’s iOS 14.7 beta 2 has reportedly been causing a number of developers’ iPhones to be unable to make or receive calls.

° Apple co-founder Steve “Woz” Wozniak can’t sue YouTube over scam videos that claimed he hosted a Bitcoin giveaway, reports Bloomberg.

° In a note to clients — as noted by AppleInsider — Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives says he expects privacy and security to be a central theme at Apple’s WWDC 21 keynote.

° In a new interview released by Decider, J.J. Abrams discusses why “Lisey’s Story” is different from his two previous collaborations with Stephen King. The limited series debuts on Apple TV+ today (June 4).
