News items you should check out: June 30

Since I can’t cover everything, I’ll often direct your attention to articles of interest. To wit:

° From MacRumors: Apple has launched its single gift card for all things Apple in several European countries, including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and more.

° From 9to5Mac: Brazil follows the EU and U.S. as it considers making USB-C connectivity mandatory on iPhones.

° From AppleInsider: Apple isn’t likely to see significant effects on its 2022 growth despite macroeconomic challenges in the June quarter, according to investment bank Wedbush.

° From Macworld: 15 years ago today, Apple began selling the first iPhone, dramatically changing the smartphone landscape and rocketing the company to incredible success. But Apple’s executives are still salty about that whole Samsung Galaxy thing.

° From 9to5Mac: Twitter confirmed that TweetDeck will no longer be available for Mac users.
