New scam targets iTunes and Apple app store customers

Apple customers are being targeted with a new scam involving invoices containing fake iTunes, App Store or Netflix purchases, according to This is Money. The bogus emails claim that someone has been shopping using your Apple account.

The scam mails, adorned with the Apple logo to look legit, claim that say someone has bought music on iTunes or purchased a new annual Netflix subscription with your account. You’re told to click on a “refund” link, where you’re asked to fill in your credit card info.

Don’t. The cyber-crooks will steal your bank details. Apple says to ignore the emails. The company says it would never ask for bank details or the three-digit security code on the back of your card by email
