New iPad available for personal pick-up at Apple retail stores

If you’re in the market for one of the new iPads you can order it at Apple’s online store for personal pickup at retail stores in the U.S. and Canada. Or you can simply drop by a store and hope they have some available.

The tablet comes in silver, gold and space gray. Pricing starts at $329 (US) for the 32GB with Wi-Fi model and $459 (US) for the 32GB Wi-Fi + Cellular model at Apple.com and Apple Stores. iFixIt, which tears apart tech items so you don’t have to, has offered a teardown of the new tablet and says it’s basically a “four-year-old iPad Air with some new jewelry (A9 processor and Touch ID).”
