Apple has announced a special event dubbed “Time Flies” for Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 10 am. (Pacific). Apparently, it will be live-streamed only (no press has been invited to a physical event) as was June’s 2020 Worldwide Developer Conference.
The event is expected to see new Apple Watches and iPads (probably iPad Airs) announced. The long-expected “AirTags” tracking devices could also be unveiled.
The iPhone 12 isn’t expected until October, at which time Apple will probably hold another online-only event. And who knows? Perhaps yet another virtual event will be held in November to unveil the first “Apple Silicon” Macs and the (non-beta) rollout of macOS Big Sur.
Interestingly, if you look at the Sept. 15 Apple Event on an iPhone or iPad, you can tap on the logo and Safari’s AR viewer will launch. The logo will morph and change in real-time.
