Macs gain in global unit market share, see revenue grow 7% year-over-year

In a conference call regarding Apple’s financial results for its fiscal 2017 third quarter that ended July 1, CEO Tim Cook said that Macs gained global unit market share and saw revenue grew 7% year-over-year due to mainly to iMac and MacBook Pro sales. The Mac set new June quarter sales records in mainland China and Japan.

“With the refresh of almost the entire Mac lineup in June, we’re off to a great start for the back-to-school season,” Cook said.
