The Mac’s US$9.03 billion revenue in Apple’s fiscal 2020 fourth quarter that ended September 26 broke the computer line-up’s previous record of $7.4 billion set in the first fiscal quarter of 2019.
“Mac revenue was up 29% over last year, $1.6 billion above previous record in spite of supply constraints during the fiscal quarter,” says Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri. “We saw strong double digit growth in each geographic segment and all-time revenue records in Americas and Asia-Pac and September quarter records in Europe and Japan.”
He says that the Mac has a 93% satisfactory customer rating and that about 50% of customers are new to the Mac. Maestri says the revamped 27-inch iMac has been a hit.
