The LG UltraFine 5K Display, which Apple touts as the high-end external display to use with the new MacBook Pros, is finally available to order for US$974. Orders were initially estimated to ship in 3-5 business days, but that’s quickly slipping.
However, Apple has extended the $974 pricing until March 31. After this, the price will be $1,299. (Apple has also extended discounted pricing on a variety of USB-C accessories.)
The LG UltraFine 5K Display — which is 18.3 inches high, 24.6 inches wide, 9.4 inches deep, and weighs 18.7 pounds — boasts a 27.inch, 5120-by-2880 resolution, 14.7 million pixels, P3 wide color gamut, and 500 cd/m² of brightness.
A single Thunderbolt 3 cable (included) provides up to 85W of charging power to your MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports. And three downstream USB-C ports (5 Gbps) offer additional connectivity and power to compatible devices and accessories.
