Is your iPhone ruining your vacation?

BankMyCell, a site for comparing trade-in items for tech devices, has completed a survey focused on comparing how traditional holiday values are contradicted by cell phone addiction triggers, social media habits, and work interruptions on vacation.

Respondent data is split between iOS and Android, but the key iPhone user findings include:

  • 51% of Apple users aggravated with their vacation partners phone usage;

  • 42% of Apple users let “what could look good on social media” influence their choice of destination;

  • The average Apple owner checks their phone 5.73 times an hour on holiday;

  • 49% of Apple tourists regret overusing their iPhone on vacation;

  • 45% of Apple tourists feel they’re on call from work while on vacation.
