Let’s hope this report is right (and I think it is): iPadOS 15 will feature improved multitasking, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. If so, it will be a long-awaited upgrade.
Gurman also says that the operating system update will allow users to place widgets anywhere on the home screen. He writes:
For the iPad, Apple plans to revamp the home screen and support the placement of widgets — snippets of dynamic information like calendar, weather, and stocks — anywhere on the screen. This is a commonly requested feature that will bring the iPad in line with Android rivals. The company also plans an improved multitasking system to make it easier to operate multiple apps at the same time.
Look for iPadOS 15 and new versions of iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS to be previewed Monday. They, and other things, will be discussed during the keynote kicking off the (virtual) 2021 Worldwide Developer Conference.
