Immersion reaches a settlement with Apple in patent lawsuit

Immersion Corp., a developer and licensor of touch feedback technology, has announced that it’s entered into settlement and license agreements with Apple, the terms of which are confidential.

In February 2016, Immersion filed a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission (“ITC”) against Apple, AT&T., and AT&T Mobility LLC. The company also filed a patent infringement complaint against those three firms in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.

The complaints alleged that the iPhone 6,  iPhone 6 Plus,  iPhone 6s,  iPhone 6s Plus, and Apple Watch infringed certain Immersion patents covering haptic feedback systems and methods in electronic devices.
