Everybody likes a deal, and Ibotta (free) is a popular iPhone app for getting cash back on just about everything you buy in a store. The Denver-based company today reported that they’ve paid out $30 million in rebates to users of the app, with $10 million of that cash making its way out to happy customers in the last four months.
The app is totally different from traditional coupons, as consumers can select any brand they like and still get a rebate. The company also sends out promo codes for additional saving and unlock bonuses when shoppers redeem rebates.
For retailers and brands, the app provides a way to connect to shoppers by showing them a video or asking them to take a feedback quiz to gain a special rebate. Big name brands that work closely with Ibotta include Nike, Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Best Buy and Whole Foods.
Like to shop online? You can use Ibotta to cash in on purchases made at Amazon.com, Nordstrom.com, Footlocker.com and more sites.
