How to get rain notifications in the iOS 15 Weather app

The Weather app in iOS 15 can tell you when it’s about to start raining so you can stay inside or pack an umbrellas.

First, you need to enable location data for the Weather app so it’ll know where you’re, well, located. Here’s how:

° Launch Settings on your iPhone.

° Tap Weather.

° Tap Location.

° Under Allow Location Access, select Always.

Now you can turn on rain notifications (which, admittedly, may not work in all areas):

° Tap the List icon (a bulleted list on the bottom right of the screen).°  ° Tap on the ••• icon.

° Tap on Notifications.

° Toggle the status switches to green on position for the locations you wish to be notified about.

° Tap Done.
