Cook: the fourth gen Apple TV is a foundation on which we can build something bigger

During a conference call about Apple’s latest financial results, CEO Tim Cook was asked about the Apple TV and its plans regarding the larger streaming TV/video content scenario.

“We think of the new Apple TV as the foundation for what we can do in the space,” he said. “I don’t want to be more specific than that. Just don’t look at what’s there today and think we’ve done what we want to do. We’ve built a foundation that we think we can build something bigger off of.”
