Chinese tech giant Tencent will bring some of its apps to the Apple Vision Pro

Chinese tech giant Tencent has agreed to make some of its most important apps available on Apple’s Vision Pro headset ahead of its launch in the country later this year, according to The Information (a subscription is required to read the article).

Tencent is one of the highest grossing multimedia companies in the world based on revenue. It’s also the world’s largest company in the video game industry based on its equity investments.

On March 24 Apple CEO Tim Cook said the Vision Pro will hit the mainland China market later this year, reported Reuters. He revealed the headset’s China launch plan in response to a media question on the sidelines of the China Development Forum in Beijing, CCTV finance said on its Weibo social account. And Apple will continue to ramp up research and development investment in China, Cook was quoted as saying.
