Bloomberg: Apple will release three new iPhones this fall

Apple will release three new iPhones this fall, according to Bloomberg, quoting unnamed sources. This report is pretty much in line with what KGI securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has predicted.

Bloomberg says the lineup will include the largest iPhone ever (with 6.5-inch screen), a lower cost version of the iPhone X, and a budget-friendly option that doesn’t skimp on the features. The article says:

  • The larger iPhone could have a screen resolution of 1242 x 2688 and will include an OLED panel and Face ID like the iPhone X.
  • The super-sized smartphone and the smaller, updated iPhone X version will both have next-gen A12 processors and stainless steel edges.
  • Apple is considering a dual-SIM card option for the larger model.
  • The third, lower cost version will have an edge-to-edge screen and Face ID like the X but a cheaper LCD screen, aluminum edges, and a glass back.
