Beats 1 to feature celebrity shows

The launch of Apple’s 24-hour global radio station, Beats 1, is still few days away, and The New York Times as a few details on what we can expect. Specifically, it seems music celebrities will plan and host their own shows, including Elton John, Drake, Disclosure, St. Vincent, Josh Homme, and Pharrell Williams. These shows will cover one- and two-hour blocks outside of shows hosted by the station’s regular DJs.

Back when I was a Sirius subscriber (before it became Sirius XM), this very thing was a big draw for me. Conversation, insights and music hand-chosen by my favorite musicians? Yes, please.
