Beats 1 gets a Facebook page

Beats 1 is Apple’s free and global Apple Music radio station, and now the station has a new presence on the web — a dedicated Facebook page

The station is currently highlighting an interview by Beats 1 DJ Zane Lowe with Lady Gaga, complete with quotes and short video clips. The page itself isn’t yet verified on Facebook, although the verified Apple Music account shared a post from the Beats 1 page.

That Apple Music Facebook page has over 2 million likes at this point, and up until now Apple has marketed Beats 1 on that page. In order to build up viewers for the Beats 1 page, the Apple Music account is now sharing its posts. Beats 1 has a very popular Twitter account, so it was odd that Apple didn’t see fit to include the station on Facebook as well up until now.
