Today we’re starting up a new forum for readers of Apple World Today. Called AWT Chat, the forum is an open group for discussion of everything about Apple. To encourage you to join the forum, we’re giving away a prize to one of the early participants. All you need to do to enter is to join! Here’s how to do that:
To join AWT Chat, point your web browser to https://appleworld.today/awtchat or click the CHAT button in the menu bar. A screen like this appears:
Click the Register button to set up a new account (red in the image above). Once clicked, enter a user name of up to 15 characters and a valid email address (see below). AWT supporters on Patreon may be able to log in with their Patreon accounts.
Check the box to agree to receive an email confirmation with a link to set a password, then click the blue REGISTER button.
The forum software sends an email to you within a minute. If you don’t see it in your main email inbox, check your spam folder as this email sometimes gets tagged as spam.
The email looks similar to this:
Click the link in the email. This takes you to a page to create and re-enter a password. Do that, and then you’re ready to roll.
Next, you can edit your profile! Add a photo or some other avatar, set your signature for posts, show people what you do for a living, link to your social media, and so on.
The most important thing to do is to participate in AWT Chat. There are plenty of topics awaiting your questions, comments, and observations!

Pick areas of interest to you and leave a message, start a discussion or ask a question. That’s it! You can subscribe to topics to see what’s going on in an area you’re interested in.
Initially, posts are moderated by an administrator. Once you have a little experience you have the opportunity to post immediately.
We don’t want AWT Chat to turn into a typical social media cesspool. The rule? Just be nice. We’re hoping the group will be self-policing.
