Apple’s Ron Okamoto retiring after 20 years with the tech giant

Ron Okamoto, who has been working as the App Store‘s developer relations head since being hired by Steve Jobs in 2001, has retired, reports Bloomberg. His role is being filled by Apple marketing exec Susan Prescott, the article adds.

At Apple, Okamoto helped oversee the app review process and policies, the distribution of tools for building/selling apps, forums and tech developer support, the annual Apple Worldwide Developer Conference, and developer communications.

Prescott — Apple’s vice president of markets, apps and services — has been at Apple since 2003. She worked with Steve Jobs.
