In a note to clients — as noted by MacRumors — display analyst Ross Young says the rumored “RealityPro” headset will feature two 4K micro-OLED displays that will measure 1.41 inches diagonally.
In a tweet, he says Apple wants the augmented reality/virtual reality device to off4 8K total resolution, 5000 nits of brightness and 4,000 pixels per inch. A Microsoft HoloLens had less than 500 nits, so the RealityPro would offer more than 10x brighter than that or Magic Leap’s displays if Young is correct.
The rumored augmented reality/virtual reality headset is expected to be previewed at next month’s Worldwide Developer Conference, which kicks off on June 5. However, it’s not expected to go on sale until later in the year.
