Apple has started making its flagship iPhone 11 at the Foxconn plant near Chennai, the first time it’s manufactured a top-of-the-line model in the country, The Economic Times.
The article adds that this marks a boost for the government’s “Make in India” initiative. The “Make in India” initiative is designed to encourage industrialists to setup their manufacturing units in India through Foreign Direct Investment(FDI) in order to transform India into a globally credible manufacturing ground.
