Apple’s iPad sales in Mainland China grow 106.4% year-over-year

Tablet shipments to Mainland China experienced growth in the first quarter of 2023, with total shipments increasing 38% year-on-year to 6.5 million units, according to the Canalys research group.

Apple’s iPad led the tablet market during the period as it more than doubled its shipments to 2.5 million units. The tech giant sold approximately 2.5 million tablets in Mainland China for 38.4% market share in Mainland China.

That compares to sales of 1.2 million and 24.6% market share in the first quarter of 2022. That’s year-over-year growth of 106.4%.
