Apple has updated its iWork apps (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote), iMovie, and GarageBand for macOS Big Sur. They’re available at the Mac App Store.
All get new icons that complement the operating system upgrade’s new appearance, as well as stability and performance tweaks.
In addition the GarageBand update also: allows customization of region colors in your tracks; adds 1,800 Apple Loops in a variety of genres including Hip-Hop, Chill Rap, Future Bass, New Disco, Bass House and more; and adds over 190 instrument patches and 50 vintage and modern drum kits.
Apple doesn’t specify it, but I suspect the performance tweaks involve optimization for the new 13-inch MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and Mac mini with the Apple-developed M1 chip.
