Apple has unveiled the first trailer for “Spirited,” its modern retelling of “A Christmas Carol,” starring Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, and Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer. The movie will premiere in theaters on November 11 before debuting globally on Apple TV+ on the 18th.
The pic — a musical comedy take on “A Christmas Carol” — will be directed by Sean Anders, who also serves as writer alongside writing partner John Morris. In addition to starring, Reynolds will produce through his Maximum Effort banner, as will Ferrell, who will produce through his Gloria Sanchez Productions alongside Jessica Elbaum and David Koplan. George Dewey serves as executive producer for Maximum Effort.
