Apple to hold company-wide retail meetings this weekend

Apple will hold company-wide retail meetings this weekend, the first in three years since the start of the global health crisis, reports MacRumors.

From the article: Apple had originally planned for company-wide meetings, which typically happen once or twice a year ahead of a busy launch season, for the Spring of 2020 but canceled amid store closures and lockdowns. In years past, Apple has unveiled company-wide retail strategies and “pep talk” styled team discussions meant to prepare employees to launch new products.

The meetings are likely to prepare employees for upcoming product announcements. The iPhone 14, Apple Watch Series 8, and AirPods Pro 2 will almost certainly be unveiled at the September 7 “Far out” event. Likely to follow in October will be another (unannounced so far) event that will spotlight new iPad Pros and possibly new Macs.

Also, iOS 16 and watchOS 9 will probably be available to end users in September, while iPadOS 16 and macOS 13 Venture are likely to arrive in October.

Meetings with retail employees could be …. interesting …. as some retail store employees want to unionize and Apple is reportedly working to discourage such developments.
