Apple says it has created over 325,000 jobs in Korea

For the first time, Apple Korea revealed on Monday figures for its local employment in South Korea, reports The Korea Herald.

According to the Apple Korea home page, the tech giant has directly and indirectly created over 325,000 jobs in Korea, including around 200,000 new positions in connection with the Apple App Store in 2008.

“Apple has been operating its business in the Korean market for over 20 years and takes pride in contributing to the economic growth of the country,” the company states on the website. ““In Korea, Apple raises more than 4.7 trillion won ($3.9 billion) in profit from the App Store and cooperates with over 200 companies across the country.”
