Apple releases Safari 16.1 updater for macOS Monterey, Big Sur

Apple has introduced Safari 16.1. The update is included with iOS 16.1, iPadOS 16.1, and ‌macOS Ventura.

However, the upgraded web browser is also available on macOS Monterey and macOS Big Sur via this standalone updater. To update Safari on the Mac:

  1. From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen, choose System Preferences.
  2. In the System Preferences window, click Software Update. If your System Preferences doesn’t include Software Update, use the App Store to get updates instead.
  3. Install any updates or upgrades shown.
