Apple News items you should check out: July 29

Since I can’t cover everything, I’ll often direct your attention to articles of interest. To wit:

° From MacRumors: Apple prototyped at least three larger iMac models with Apple silicon chips last year, according to information shared by MacRumors forum member Amethyst back in March. The forum member said they obtained the details from an acquaintance.

° From AppleInsider: A U.S. lawmaker has sent a letter to Apple and Google asking for clarification on how they prevent fraudulent cryptocurrency apps on the App Store and Google Play Store.

° From 9to5Mac: Beats Studio Buds are seeing another special edition being launched. This time, the Apple subsidiary is partnering with graffiti artist FUTURA to unveil a brand-new design for the wireless earbuds.

° From iMore: Apple has stopped signing iOS 15.5, meaning that it is now blocking downgrades to that version of iOS on the iPhone. This means that anyone who wants to install a version of iOS must now install iOS 15.6.

° From iClarified: Sky has launched a new Sky Go app for tvOS, allowing customers to stream their favorite channels on the Apple TV.

° From MacVoices Live!: On the new episode, the discussion over Apple’s customer repair options for the iPhone is intense as Chuck Joiner, David Ginsburg, Jay Miller, Jim Rea, Jeff Gamet, and Mark Fuccio debated the pros and cons, and how it is being covered by the media in general, and one article in particular.
