Apple News items you should check out: July 22

Since I can’t cover everything, I’ll often direct your attention to articles of interest. To wit:

° From Deadline: Streaming made up more than one-third of total TV viewing in June, according to Nielsen’s latest monthly snapshot, The Gauge. Broadcast’s slice of the pie (22.4%) and cable’s (35.1%) represented the smallest shares they have ever recorded.

° From The Mac Observer: The finish is absolutely gorgeous, but it may not last. Early reports say the Midnight Blue M2 MacBook Air has a real problem with scuffing.

° From iMore: A new report this week says that Apple can once again achieve a $3 trillion market valuation thanks to its strong services and “lifetime value”, rather than products like the iPhone.

° From MacRumors: Four months after Apple released the Studio Display, shipping estimates for the display are finally showing significant improvement in many countries.

° From AppleInsider: A number of documents signed by Steve Jobs and other tech pioneers, as well as additional collectible Apple memorabilia, is set to hit the auction block later in July.

° From MacVoices Live! This MacVoices Live! discussion with Chuck Joiner, Jim Rea, David Ginsburg, Warren Sklar, Jeff Gamet, Guy Serle, and Mark Fuccio starts out with thoughts on a postcard that some of the panel members received from Brave stressing their focus on privacy. (Part 1)

° From TextExpander: TextExpander, a developer of productivity software, today announced a US$41.4 million financing round and the addition of SaaS industry leader J.D. Mullin as the company’s new CEO.
