Apple Mail engineering manager departs for Readdle

Former Apple Mail engineering manager, Terry Blanchard, has joined Readdle’s team “to build the future of email with Spark.” Founded in 2007, Readdle makes iOS and macOS apps.

Blanchard has spent the last six years leading the engineering and QA teams responsible for Apple Mail. Spark was named by Apple as one of the  of “App Store Best of 2015” apps, and it arrived on the Mac last year.

“Spark is modernizing email as we know it,” Blanchard says in a Readdle blog post. “We share a fundamental vision of what the future of email should be. I’ve always admired Readdle for their beautiful and innovative products, which makes them the ideal company to turn that vision into a reality.”
