Apple is still having software issues with both iOS and macOS

Bummer. Apple is having more software problems with both iOS and macOS.

An iOS bug is causing problems on Apple devices that have local notifications enabled, causing springboard to enter a crash loop once the clock turned 12:15 a.m. on Dec. 2.

If you’re still experiencing a problem: you can: disable notifications and turn off background app refresh; change the date manually to a time before ether problem occurred; or force restart your iOS device.

Regarding macOS, earlier this week, Apple scrambled to push out a software update for macOS High Sierra, to fix a glitch in the operating system’s security measures. However, multiple Mac users have confirmed to WIRED that Apple’s fix for that problem has a serious glitch of its own.

Those who had not yet upgraded their operating system from macOS High Sierra, 10.13.0 to 10.13.1, but had downloaded the patch, say the “root” bug reappears when they install the most recent macOS system update. Even if you re-install Apple’s security patch after that upgrade, you may find that the “root” problem still remains until you reboot your Mac — even though there’s no warning that a reboot is needed.
