Apple hires former Lionsgate exec for its video marketing team

Danielle DePalma, who was previously the executive vice president of Worldwide Digital Marketing & Research at Lionsgate, has joined Apple as a senior executive on the tech giant’s video marketing team, reports Deadline.

The article adds that she’ll shepherd film and TV series marketing and report to Sony TV alum Chris Van Amburg, Apple’s head of Video Marketing. DePalma was a Lionsgate veteran who spent about a decade at the company before leaving in January. DePalma, who was named to The Hollywood Reporters Next Gen list in 2010, earned a reputation for building forward-thinking web campaigns for Lionsgate projects like Saw and Kick-Ass

Apple announced its Apple TV+ streaming service on March 25. It’s slated to debut this fall.
