As noted by MacRumors, Apple has stopped signing iOS 16.6, the previously available version of iOS.
As noted by MacRumors, since Apple rolled out iOS 16.5 on May 18, the company has stopped signing iOS 16.4.1.
This means iPhone users can’t downgrade to that version. As MacRumors notes,”Apple routinely stops signing older versions of iOS after new releases come out to encourage customers to keep their operating systems up to date, so the fact that iOS 16.4 is no longer being signed is not unusual.”
iOS 16.5 can be downloaded by going to Settings > General > Software Update on your iPhone. Here are Apple’s release notes:
