Apple has sold over 1.2 billion iPhones

In a conference call regarding Apple’s financial results for its fiscal 2017 third quarter that ended July 1, CEO Tim Cook said that Apple has now sold over 1.2 billion smartphones. 

He says that the iPhone 7 is our the company’s most popular smartphone. And iPhone 7 Plus sales were up “significantly” in the June quarter compared to iPhone 6s Plus sales in the year-ago quarter, Cook adds.

Many markets in Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East grew iPhone sales by over 25%, according to Apple Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri.
