Apple fashion over the years: the OS X Jaguar T-shirt

Over the years, I’ve collected lots of nifty T-shirts from trade shows I’ve covered — mainly the late, lamented Macworld Expos held in Boston, San Francisco, New York, Tokyo, and Paris. Occasionally, I’ll “model” some of the items in my collection.

This image shows me wearing my OS X Jaguar T-shirt from the launch of OS X 10.2. Released on Aug. 23, 2002, it was the third major release of OS X. Jaguar added such features as MPEG-4 support in QuickTime, an Address Book, Inkwell for handwriting recognition, and Apple Mail. It also included the first release of Apple’s Zeroconf implementation, Rendezvous (later referred to as Bonjour), which allowed devices over a network to discover each other and display available services to the user, such as file sharing, shared scanners, and printers.
