Apple execs address employees in company-wide virtual meeting

In a company-wide virtual meeting, CEO Tim Cook said the company was, despite the problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, in good financial shape and will continue to invest in new products and research and development in a “really significant way,” Apple employee told Bloomberg.

Apparently, he doesn’t foresee any layouts in the near future, though there’s no definite date on when retail stores will re-open. Even when they do, social distancing and temperatures checks are a strong possibility. Cook also noted that Apple has has donated more than 30 million masks and shipped about 2 million of its face shields to medical workers and first responders

Chief Operating Office Jeff Williams talked about Apple’s tech initiatives. Intriguingly, he said those developments weren’t “limited to the wrist.”
