Apple exec who managed Apple Pay biz development leaves Apple

The Apple exec who managed Apple Pay business development and Tap to Pay has left the company, reports Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. 

The article says Eric Hoffman is exiting after an eight-year career at the tech giant. No reason was given for his departure in the report.

Here’s how Hoffman’s LinkedIn profile describes his stint at Apple: One of the first external hires in 2014 to build & scale Apple Pay. Head of payment partnerships business development teams for the Americas. Teams are managing Apple Pay partnerships with Banks, Merchant Acquirers, FinTechs and Channel Partners. In the Americas, Apple Pay is live in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Argentina, Peru, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Panama.
