Since Steve and I can’t cover everything, at the end of each week day, we’ll offer this wrap-up of news items you should check out.

A rare, fully functional Apple-1 computer sold for $375,000, according to Boston-based RR Auction. The Apple-1 was originally conceived by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak as a bare circuit board to be sold as a kit and completed by electronics hobbyists, their initial market being Palo Alto’s Homebrew Computer Club. This Apple-1 is one of only 60-70 remaining of the original 200 that were designed and built by Jobs and Wozniak that originally sold for $666.66.

With Quanta Computer’s capacity for the Apple Watch Series 4 at its factory in Changshu, eastern China fully loaded, the wearable’s second supplier Compal Electronics reportedly will begin mass production of the smartwatch in November 2018, according a DigiTimes report.

A report by Slate says Apple News is delivering lots of eyeballs to published articles, but not (yet) providing a lot of money.

Apple is rolling out a new TestFlight feature that enables developers to share a public URL for an app beta. Customers can open the link on their iPhone or iPad and automatically enroll into the beta testing group through the TestFlight app.

The iPhone XS and XS Max are the fastest phones on the market, and show improved battery life as well, according to Macworld tests.
