Apple Daily Report: Charter to launch Spectrum TV Essentials video service (and more news)

Since Steve and I can’t cover everything, at the end of each week day, we’ll offer this wrap-up of news items you should check out. 

Charter Communications has announced that it will launch Spectrum TV Essentials, a $14.99/month, Internet delivered over-the-top (OTT) video service, to be made available exclusively in Charter’s footprint to Spectrum Internet customers who don’t already subscribe to Spectrum video services. It will be available through the Spectrum TV App for the Apple TV, iOS devices, Android devices, Roku, Xbox One, Amazon Kindle Fire, Samsung Smart TVs, and computers (via SpectrumTV.com).

Apple has posted new videos on its YouTube channel about Key Photos, Depth Control, Stage Light Mono, and how to search for photos, all on your iPhone. And the tech giant has also posted a new ad for the Apple Watch dubbed “Flight” that promotes the “freedom of cellular.”

In a note to clients — as noted by AppleInsider — the firm of JP Morgan says Apple’s iPhone suppliers are starting to show what could be signs of stabilization following the weaker than anticipated iPhone sales in the holiday quarter.
