Apple Charleston store closes temporarily due to employee COVID exposure

Apple has temporarily closed its store in Charleston, South Carolina, after more than 20 staff members were exposed to COVID-19, reports Bloomberg.

The store’s website shows it will be closed until next week. It will reopen on Monday at 10 a.m. (local time). Bloomberg says that stores of the Charleston location’s size typically have 70 to 80 staff members, suggesting that about a quarter of employees were exposed.

Apple Charleston is located at 301 King Street, Charleston, SC 29401. It’s one of two retail stores located in the state; the other is in Greenville. In total, there are 271 Apple Store locations in the U.S.
