Apple has bought the patent portfolio of Lighthouse AI, an out-of-business home security camera company, reports iam-media (a subscription is required to read the article).
Lighthouse’s first product debuted in May 2017, and went on sale in February 2018 for $199. The camera supported facial recognition. It could, purportedly, over time learn the faces of familiar people in your home to help you tailor alert settings.
