Apparently, YouTube is planning an Apple Vision Pro app after all

Apparently, YouTube is planning an Apple Vision Pro app after all. The Verge says YouTube now has such an app on its roadmap.

Apple emailed Jessica Gibby at The Verge the following statement: “We’re excited to see Vision Pro launch and we’re supporting it by ensuring YouTube users have a great experience in Safari. We do not have any specific plans to share at this time, but can confirm that a Vision Pro app is on our roadmap.”

The somewhat-surprising announcement follows reports that YouTube, Netflix, and Spotify not only planned no visionOS apps, but weren’t going to even all their iPad apps to run on the spatial computer.

The Apple Vision Pro officially went on sale Friday, and demos at Apple Stores in the U.S. can be reserved on Apple.com.

To reserve a free Vision Pro demo online, go here. Then follow the steps to book an appointment at your local Apple Store.

Pricing for the Vision Pro starts at US$3,499 with 256GB of storage. ZEISS Optical Inserts are available: $99 for reading lens and $149 for prescription lens.
