App Store: Over 100 billion apps downloaded

On Friday, Apple’s Developer Program let developers know that new apps and app updates won’t be accepted between December 22 and 29, 2015, but it also provided a staggering statistic: the App Store has now seen more than 100 billion cumulative downloads.

Not everyone on planet Earth has an Apple device, but if they did, that would represent over 13 downloads for every man, woman, and child alive at this time.

Revenues from the App Store increased 25 percent between 2014 and 2015, and the number of customers completing transactions increased 18 percent.
